Career 1908 Joined Edison Films. 1915 Joined Triangle - which consisted of Griffith, Thomas Ince and Mack Sennett. 1917 Signed with Artcraft (Zukor) releasing through Famous Players-Lasky (which later became Paramount). Goes to England to shoot Hearts of the World. Scarlet Days is the last film shot for Artcraft. 1919 Signed with First National. 1920 Formed the D.W. Griffith Corporation with studios in Mamaroneck, new York. 1927 Sold United Artists voting rights to Joe Schenck. 1931 Worked with Hal Roach on One Million B.C. 1948 Died in Hollywood apartment.
