Janus was one of the first distributors to bring world cinematic masterpieces to the United States introducing the world to Bergman, Truffault and many other great directors. One of the highlights from the Janus Collection was a collection of short films that had been made available on VHS. The Janus Collection of Classic Shorts, features early films of Polanski, Bunuel, Rousseau, Cocteau and Chris Marker. I have always wanted to embark on a published study of these films so we will start with a listing and go from their.
